“The XM1014 is a powerful fully automatic shotgun that justifies its heftier price tag with the ability to paint a room with lead fast.”
―Counter Strike description.
General Information[]

The Benelli M4 (better known as the XM1014, simply known as Auto Shotgun in Gun Game) is a semi-automatic shotgun produced by Italian firearm manufacturer Benelli Armi SpA.
In-game information[]
A single pellet from the XM1014 will do 6 damage at long ranges, and if all pellets hit at close range, you will deal 110 damage. Its semi-automatic nature allows you to easily dispatch enemies close with a barrage of shells. Unlike its similar rival, the SPAS-12, the XM1014 fires slower, but has a faster reload time.
However, the weapon is loaded by hand and takes around 4 seconds to reload fully, a half-second for each shell, and a second taken to chamber the shotgun.
Pros & Cons[]
Pros:
- Above-average rate of fire for a shotgun.
- 1-by-1 reloading allows topping off.
- High maximum damage per pellet.
- Decent magazine size for a shotgun.
Cons:
- Long empty reload time.
- Wide pellet spread upon continuous shots.
Tips[]
- The XM1014 is most effective during approximately the first 5 shots. The remaining shots will be a bit difficult to deal with.
- Reloading just one shell in after 5 shots will reset the bullet spread, and finish off enemies during intense fights.
- Unlike most of the other Shotgun-class weapons, the XM1014's effective range is slightly closer to enemies while at mid-range. It is recommended you get a little closer to enemies before you start firing shots.
Trivia[]
- The XM1014, as is its USMC prototype designation, is manufactured by Benelli Armi SpA as the Benelli M4 Super 90.
- The XM1014 uses a simple ARGO (auto regulating gas operated) system, allowing it to be cheaper and less complex than other semi-automatic shotguns.
- The XM1014 was also in Typical Colors 2 where it is originally known as the "Specialist" and is a primary weapon for Flanker.
- The XM1014 also appears in Counter Blox and is taken from the respective game.
- The XM1014 can reliably function up to firing 25,000 rounds without replacement of any major parts.
- Despite the XM1014 being depicted as fully-automatic, in real life the Benelli M4 family shotguns are semi-automatic.
