“A reliable weapon that functions both as a primary and secondary weapon. With six shots, you're guaranteed satisfaction.”
―Typical Colors 2 description.
General Information[]

The Pump Shotgun is a pump-action shotgun, resembling that of a Remington 870 with a sawed-off barrel and stock.
In-game Information[]
The Pump Shotgun's average damage per pellet allows for a quick kill at point-blank range. It also shares a one-by-one reload alongside other shotguns, granting the user the ability to fire the weapon whilst reloading.
The Pump Shotgun's middling spread and slow rate of fire makes taking an enemy at range a chore. The weapon's minute ammunition capacity and sluggish reload speed makes it essential to only focus a single target.
Pros & Cons[]
Pros:
- Above average damage per pellet.
- One-by-one reloading allows topping off within a conflict.
Cons:
- Slow empty reload cycle.
- Slow reload cycle.
- Slow rate of fire.
- Low ammo capacity.
- High pellet spread.
Tips[]
- The Pump Shotgun's most noticeable con is its high pellet spread. Unlike most of the other Shotgun-class weapons, this means you would need to get closer to enemies than fighting at mid-range.
- Try not to shoot at opponents who are on a higher or lower platform than you. The Pump Shotgun will be easier to get a kill with if you fight someone on the same height level.
- If you're coming to Arsenal as a Typical Colors 2 player, use the Pump Shotgun exactly as you would the stock Shotgun from TC2, as they have the exact same stats.
- Do beware that the Pump Shotgun's bullet spread is slightly worse than in TC2, so you will need to find ways to compensate.
Trivia[]
- A pump-action shotgun is a class of shotguns that are distinguished in the way in which spent shells are extracted and fresh ones are chambered.
- A pump-action or slide-action firearm is one in which a forend can be moved forward and backward in order to eject a spent round of ammunition and to chamber a fresh one.
- The first slide-action patent was issued to Alexander Bain of Britain in 1854.
- The weapon was mistakenly referred to as the Trench Gun in the DevForum post for the 2.3 Update.
- The Pump Shotgun's model, animations, and (formerly) sound effects are all ported straight from Typical Colors 2, where it is used by the Trooper, Arsonist, Brute, and Mechanic classes.
- This is one of the few guns that uses a generic name opposed to the actual weapon's name.
