“Flamethrower? More like acid spitter²”
―osii, 01/24/2021
General Information[]
The Acid Spitter is a weapon that was added into the Halloween Update II of Arsenal.
Similar to the Flamethrower, the Acid Spitter is a powerhouse for close range. Any enemy will be obliterated that gets too close to the Acid Spitter, and its shared ammo and magazine with the Flamethrower capacity of 150.
Also being the same with the Flamethrower, the Acid Spitter has a very low limited range of use, meaning that long range attacks cannot be performed using the weapon. This is an issue to most players as well because players won't even try to get close to the player holding the Acid Spitter. It also has the same special effect with the Flamethrower, which is the afterburn effect.
Pros & Cons[]
Pros:
- Large magazine size.
- Very low ammo consumption.
- Decent rate of fire.

- Fast reload.
Cons:
- Extremely low damage.
- No headshot multiplier.
- Low mobility.
- Afterburn will wear off after a few seconds.
- Unable to be used at longer ranges.
- Sluggish movement speed.

Trivia[]
- Acid Spitter was revealed in the Arsenal Discord on October 21st, 2020.
- The weapon was originally going to have a pullback attachment.
- The Acid Spitter is one of the weapons that have an afterburn effect, along with the Spellbook, the Tavor's Incendiary shells, the Flamethrower and the Flaming Pumpkin.
- Much like Flamethrower, Acid Spitter can be broken in any approaches:
- In the currently inactive gamemode Juggernaut, the Acid Spitter does not do any damage against the juggernaut or as the juggernaut. This has been fixed after.
- Sometimes, the afterburn doesn't instantly kill the player once the damage hits 100 or more. This also affects the Flamethrower and the Flaming Pumpkin as well.
- The afterburn damage was used to be broken. This was later fixed on January 5th, 2021.
- Despite spitting green flames, the afterburn effect's flames are orange-red, like the normal Flamethrower.
- It is the signature weapon of the Hazmat, Tetra, and Crackles skins.
